The works of Robert Simpson
Robert Simpson is internationally renowned to be one of the most prolific 20th-century composers of symphonies and chamber music, especially string quartets. But his eleven symphonies and fifteen string quartets are only a portion of his output, which equally includes concertos (his best-known one being the Piano Concerto), non-symphonic orchestral music, chamber music for a large variety of performers, piano music, even choral and organ music.
