A Tribute from Richard Wolfert
With the passing of Robert Simpson, we have lost one of the finest symphoniest of our time. Not always easy to grasp his music, but with persistence we are rewarded with an understanding of the man and his endeavors. His string quartets are also of a high order. Certainly one of the giants of our time.
